emerson's PT check today

emerson's physio therapist came over today, it's a new lady now.... she was evaluated once before at approx. 9 months old and she was in the 5th percentile for what she "should" be doing... she wasn't crawling yet, wasn't doing much except sitting.

so she has started doing so much since this last check. it's about 4 months later, and she is crawling well, pulling to stand sometimes, and the other day she even dropped something and pick it up while holding onto something and still stayed standing! i was so proud of her! she has also learned to wave, kiss, and dance on command! LOL

so today i thought she'd get a great review from the PT. nope.... unfortunately she has fallen below the charts, below the graph! she's below 5th percentile now.... i was really surprised. i thought she'd be under 50 but not completely fallen off! woah!

her PT explained that she has been steadily improving and doing excellent, but she just is still very behind.

i'm perfectly ok with it though, i know she is making progress! they are going to come out more often with suggestions to get her up to par or closer to it! they are also getting emerson in touch with an occupational therapist too. (for fine motor, to see where she is at there)

so that is my emerson update for the day!

oh, and she still is OFF her tube feeds completely, doing awesome with the thickened milk . i've even made it thinner than before to test her out. she seems to have a cold (like all of us right now) but she's staying relatively healthy, considering!

we go to see the home nutrition team (tube people) in december again so maybe we'll find out if/when that stinky tube can come out. it's so gross, it stinks bad!!!

I'm surprised that she fell below the charts. She doesn't seem that "behind" to me. What should she be doing, then?

Oh, and congrats to Emmy for staying off her tube feeds! woo!!

WE all know Emmy is improving and that is the main thing. I am glad you are not stressed out about it, she has come a long way. :)

The main thing IS the fact that you see her improving. Depending upon who we see for Kennedy, they are either really happy with her or not so much...but I go by *me*. If I know she is doing well, then who cares what a person thinks who sees her only every other month?? I think that because you can see the improvements then that is the great thing :)
