today

today we had a photoshoot for christmas card pics with hope. she is great! the kids had fun, i learned some new things about my camera and picture taking... we are going to get together for some "shooting parties", as she calls them! LOL

we're having a lazy day.... lazed around all morning, and this afternoon kipp is playing with the kids downstairs while emerson naps and i play around on here... uploading pics...

i think emmy isn't feeling well. i called her doctor over a week ago to get an appointment because she seems congested or wheezy, and he is always concerned and has her come in right away, the same day or the next, and it sounds like he has a new secretary (or maybe a sub?) but anyway -- the new one doesn't "know" us and said we can't get in until the 23rd. i tell her that's fine, but i asked her to mention it to the doctor just in case he wants to see her sooner. then she calls back and says that dr. D says to bring her in right away, later that day. BUT she left this on a message that i didn't get until the next day. so i call back, she says they are full that day. ok.... but i have a feeling dr. D wants to see emmy before the 23rd. i ask her to ask him again... no call back. i haven't bothered to call because emmy is still alive and fine, but i think today she has developed a fever so now i'm a bit mad at myself for not pushing to see him. i guess we wait until thursday unless she's sicker tomorrow. ugh. oh, and thursday i get to bring 5 kids with me -- that should be fun, especially if she needs chest x-rays, which she does 99% of the time when her lungs sound this crappy. ugh! (mom, if you read this, can you see if dad can maybe babysit??)

anyway, i'm going to go cook dinner and then look forward to my desperate housewives later on!! and possibly a visit from miss J, aka kara!
