i don't think i've talked about my desperate housewives obsession on my blog yet.... i had never seen the show, but i watched 1 random episode when emerson was in the hospital last year to see what all the hype was about. it didn't really seem that great but i also had no clue who was who and what was going on. so, i decided to watch season 1 and season 2 and now get into it this season, which started last sunday. someone so nicely lent me the first 2 seasons on dvd and i've been watching them almost every single night for the last couple of weeks! i'm hooked! it's such a good show, i love it! also, i had never watched a tv show on dvd before and it's so nice! no commercials, no waiting in suspense for the next week's episode! it's so fun! although, since i've been watching so much (i average 3 episodes every evening... there are a lot to get through, i'm not even done the first 2 seasons yet!) i am starting to feel like i am IN the show! i feel like i know the characters, and they also have made their way into my dreams... aaaahhhhhhh! it's so funny! i'll be a bit sad when the dvds are done, because then i'm back to only weekly doses of the show....

soooooooooo for those who haven't ever seen it, and didn't think they'd like it, try it out if you get a chance because i thought i wouldn't enjoy it, and i am now addicted!! ;)

didn't want to jinx her but....

emerson has been OFF tube feeds for 5 whole days now! it seems to good to be true! she had an appointment on thursday and they suggested taking the next step, which is getting rid of her 2 night feeds and any daytime supplement feeds! now she just has a sippy cup with thickened milk as often as she wants... (goal of 150ml x 5 which would equal what her tube feeds were, however she only takes about 150ml x 3 on average)

let me tell you, it's SOOOO nice to not be washing the feed bag out 5x/day! and not bothering with doing anything regarding feeding her before i go to bed. it's nice! so different because the last year we have been tube feeding and now it's just... done!

i'm so happy at how far she has come! they won't take her g-tube out until she's been off tube feeds for at least 3 months, sometimes not until the spring... (after cold & flu season)

i can't believe she is almost 1! wow!

i attempted a ponytail on emerson.... but i took it out after an hour or so because it just looked too painfully tight. i'm not ready for a ponytail yet so it will just have to continue being krazy!

emerson got into a marker that the kids had dropped... and i didn't notice instantly but then i knew something must be up when she was being so quiet.... LOL!

at least it's washable! it was all over her clothes too.... the drool!

i just want...

i just want a night out with my husband.... no kids... a few hours.... and do you think i can find a babysitter???? no!!!!!!!! i can't :( and that makes me sad.... i REALLY need to get out!!!

i'm also losing my mind.... we missed my best friend's bday party last night because i got the location wrong. i just feel like it's one disappointment after another, what a failure i am!!!! today's bday party we were there, YAY! however we were 27 minutes LATE because i forgot the presents at home... so we had to turn around to go home for the presents and then i couldn't find them! that's right, i HID them on myself! :( so, took me about 15 minutes to find them, wrap them, and leave again. but the party was fun -- the kids sure enjoyed it since we missed the last 2 due to MY error :(

we're alive!

we're alive! wisdom teeth went well... nothing compared to the last time i had one pulled! thank you dad, for helping me with the kids yesterday... they loved having special time with you, and a special lunch out!

what else is new... ? well today i went to a ladies morning out thing -- at a church. it brought back a lot of high school memories (when i used to regularly attend church and my whole life was.... church in different forms!) but i'm just not sure i want to "go there" again. i'll give it a few more weeks to see.... hallie, on the other hand had a blast at the child care "class" she was in! emerson and dayhome babe did ok in the nursery but i still hate to leave my baby! the book we'll be reading is called "finding calm in life's chaos" and it sounds good, just more into christianity than i had thought! so we'll see.....

hallie starts dance (ballet) tomorrow morning. we'll see how that goes!

tomorrow morning i go in to get my wisdom teeth out... my last 2. i got 1 out when i was pregnant with kai, and i never grew a 4th one (not on xrays either) so now i'm just going in for the last 2. 1 has been giving me trouble. i HATE the dentist, especially when i know that pain will be in my future! aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!! wish me luck!

highlight of my day was totally messing up the time for the bday party we were attending. i had it in my head that it was at 2pm, so we bummed around all morning until then... showed up at the venue only to NOT find anyone we knew... and made some calls only to find out it was from 11am-1pm. duh!!! i swear, my brain does not work anymore :( the kids were SO upset... i had been talking this party up for a while now and then we get there only to have to go back home. i think i owe them big time!

i had a bunch of pictures to share, however i forgot my camera at my parents' house :( oops....

i just spent a fortune on clothes for hallie, which included a few pairs of nice jeans... not old navy as they are too tight on her, so expensive jeans............... and hallie has decided she hates jeans! aaaaaaaahhhhhhh i didn't want one of "those" kids! i guess i'll return them all and get her some lovely sweats.
