happy canada day!!!

we had a very boring, frustrating, boring, hot, boring canada day. kipp found a car, of course on a weekend and a holiday so trying to get the money out of our bank was a nightmare. normally you'd get a money order or certified cheque but the banks are closed until tuesday. so we figured it out another way but it was a huge hassle, pain in the butt, frustrating, took up most of our day. the kids spent the day in the van pretty much, and taking that into account, they were very good. our lovely canada pictures are of the kids in the van. at least i painted their faces before we went out.

sooooooooooo we promised them we'd have fun tomorrow instead.

later on we went to a friend's 30th birthday *surprise* party, which we were late getting to so we missed the whole surprise part. darn! and even later on, i woke up hallie and brought her to the fireworks (my mom joined us, which was nice!) i had promised hallie and another friend was going to come but her daughter was too tired so we went anyway or i knew hallie would never let me hear the end of it. it was fun, but hallie was half asleep and so so tired. and the traffic afterwards, AAAAHHHHHHH remind to never do that again unless we live close enough to walk LOL!
