my mom and the girl they have living with them were interested in heritage days, so i got them to join me and my girls (while the boys stayed home) and we went to heritage days! we decided to park at laurier park and do the 20 or 25 minute walk each way. it was fun, however it was HOT. my one foot was sore by the time we were back home, but that could be because i walked it in flip flops (oops?!) but it was a nice, peaceful walk in my opinion. the festival itself, however, wasn't my cup of tea. i've been before, but i've never seen it like this. it was PACKED. we could barely even walk there were so many people. the 3 line ups i stood in for food samples were 15-30 min long EACH, which i thought was ridiculous :( thank goodness hallie enjoyed herself. and it was just too hot to be at a crowded event. oh well!
hallie loved watching these people on stilts, and the dancers (any and all dancers!)
