i'll sum it up in point form because i'm hungry and need to go snack!
-emerson needs the tubes in her ears (already knew that) and hopefully it won't take forever for an appointment....
-the g-tube surgeon should be calling next week, hopefully we'll get her tube closed up asap
-the purple/blue in emerson's hands, feet, lips sounds like she has something called "Raynaud's Phenomenon" http://healthlink.mcw.edu/article/926055412.html for some info on it...
-and as for her "tracheal tug", the doctor said he has seen it before in kids who have the same kind of lung damage history as emerson does. he said she will most likely always have this but may look less noticable as she gets bigger. he said it could have been an undiagnosed case of "Tracheomalacia" http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001084.htm however emmy had 2 or 3 bronchoscopies done when she was a baby, specifically looking for this, and they said it wasn't that. who knows. the doctor also mentioned that she may have before needed a trach or in the future, i didn't quite hear... (maybe tried NOT to hear, i can't stand the tought of that!) he also prescribed a different inhaler for her to try for a month. he wasn't overly worried about it though :)
ok that was longer than planned and i'm not off to get a snack, shower, and sleep. :)

Poor little Emmy. I'm glad that you are starting to get some answers finally!
What is a tracheal tug?
